WELLINGTON POINT
Suburb Information
Grab your family and head out to Wellington Point Reserve for swimming, walking from the mainland across the sand bar to King Island at low tide, a picnic, the playground (shaded by Moreton Bay Fig Trees), launching your boat, lunch or simply sitting eating an ice-cream watching the water. It reminds you of what summer family time is about. For the more energetic people there’s wind surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, boating and coastal fishing available on the Wellington Point peninsula.

Schools: Wellington Point State School and Wellington Point State High School serve this area, which is also home to Redlands College, a co-educational independent school.

Commuting: Wellington Point railway station provides access to regular City train services to Brisbane and Cleveland. Transdev Queensland operates regular bus services, with a 24-hour weekend bus from Brisbane to Victoria Point.
